What more romantic place for a honeymoon than Venice? Yes, Venice can be expensive and there are plenty of very pricey places to stay but if you have a limited budget I can recommend a delightful small Bed & Breakfast close to St. Mark's Square. At the CA' DEL DOSE you will receive a warm welcome by Marco and Anna who are delightful hosts. Check out trip advisor site for comments re Ca' del Dose - we did and were not disappointed. It's lovely.

Fancy another hideaway - this time on Tenerife? Think of the Canaries and you normally conjure up pictures of high-rise blocks and resorts full of fellow Brits and a fair proportion of lager louts - not what is wanted on honeymoon. For somewhere away from all that yet still only 15/20 minutes from the airport is the small town of San Miguel. Very few tourists and just a small "finca" for accommodation.
A Finca is normally an old farmhouse or country
dwelling but in this instance it is a small complex of just 14 apartments built in the traditional style but
with all amenities. |
