A
collision in a pub door resulted in a meeting at the altar for John
Clarke and Donna Alexander.
It was 5 years ago that Donna went from home in Preston to Cairneyhill, near Edinburgh,
to visit her brother.
At the same time, John, on leave from the Navy, headed North to visit
his sister.
As they both went to the pub for a drink, they bumped in to each other
in the doorway - and the rest, they say, is history. |
At St.
Mary's Church in Penwortham
John and Donna
tied the knot on Saturday 22nd. June. |

Acting as
Best man for John was his dad, John senior; filling the roles of ushers
were Martin and John
Accompanying Donna as bridesmaid was her daughter Lorna.
Donna's beautiful off-the-shoulder ivory dress was supplied by Veritas
of Preston;
her bouquet of Ivory roses was supplied by Secret Garden of Preston.
Donna was given away by her two sons,
Duncan and Robert sporting their tartan kilts. |
